Training course for the experts of the Netherlands Ministry of Emergencies was conducted

During October 22-26, 2012, experts of the Chornobyl Center jointly with the Hotzone Solutions Group BV representatives conducted a training course for the experts of the Netherlands Ministry of Emergencies. The training was named “Radiation survey of areas to search and detect radioactively contaminated sectors”. The training included a series of lectures on “Reasons and specifics of the Chornobyl NPP disaster and basic approaches to its elimination”.

During their tour to the Chornobyl exclusion zone, the representatives of the Netherlands Ministry of Emergencies, accompanied by A.M. Maksymenko, Head of Department for the ChC IRL Research Technical Support, visited the Chornobyl NPP Fire Department, and in the town of Pripyat they took practical classes to detect radioactively contaminated areas and apply decontamination methods.
