To the Chornobyl Center to gain experience

On August 30, 2005, a delegation from the Advanced Experience School of Radiation Medicine visited the International Radioecological Laboratory (IRL) of the Chornobyl Center.

The IRL experts briefed the doctors on their experience in the area of radioecology and radiobiology, international projects currently implemented within the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. They familiarized them with technical capabilities of the Laboratory and state-of-the-art scientific methods applied and improved by the IRL experts.

The visit was organized by the Chernihiv regional sanitary and epidemiological station. The delegation consisted of radiation medicine doctors and their assistants from all districts of the Chernihiv Region.

During the training, the doctors will also get acquainted with experience of the NNEGC ‘Energoatom’ Back-up Crisis Center.
