Development of Work Program and Methods for Chemical Survey of Equipment and Pipelines at Units1,2 of The South Ukrainian NPP

The project objective was to develop and ensure technical support to the agreement of the work program and methods for chemical survey of equipment and pipelines at Units 1,2 of the South Ukrainian NPP.

The chemical survey is performed with the objective to develop a database on chemical condition of the equipment and pipelines of SUNPP Units 1,2 process systems including the following information:

  • corrosion of interior and exterior surfaces of the equipment and pipelines, quantity and chemical composition of the sediments;
  • characteristic of the internal medium that the system elements contacted with during their operation.

 

The data obtained during the survey will be used as initial data during the development of SUNPP Units 1,2 Decommissioning Plan.The following activities were performed within the project framework:

  • work program for chemical survey of equipment and pipelines at Units 1,2 of the South Ukrainian NPP;
  • methods for chemical survey of equipment and pipelines at Units 1,2 of the South Ukrainian NPP.
