Technical cooperation with the Netherlands develops

On 18th of October 2018 the managers of AH ‘Firefighting Education and Training’, the Netherlands, and the SSRI ‘Chornobyl Center’, Ukraine,  signed the Agreement for the long-term cooperation in the field of radiation safety, emergency preparedness and response, information exchange.

The signing of the Agreement took place during the regular technical visit of the specialists from the Netherlands to Ukraine that lasts from 17th to 20th of October 2018. The delegation consists of the firefighting specialists, the radiation protection and radiation medicine specialists.

On 18th of October, the delegation visited the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone objects: the Chornobyl NPP, the towns Pripyat and Chernobyl, the Shelter Object observation pavilion, 11th State Fire and Rescue Department of CA SES of Ukraine in Kyiv Region at the SSE ChNPP territory, the over-the-horizon radar station ‘Duga’ (object ‘Chornobyl-2’).

On 19th of October, the guests from the Netherlands will continue their work within the technical tour and will participate in the round table devoted to the problems of radiation medicine and protection, and will visit the National Museum ‘Chornobyl’ in Kyiv.
